WELCOME TO ARTFLECTIVES
I am a contemporary artist that accepts commissioned artwork. One of my passions is to design art pieces for people who have been touched by adverse life events. My goal is to provide a work of art to add to their healing process – a piece to look at and find that inner enjoyment. I take pleasure in working with a diverse background of people and businesses and
I’d like to design a piece for you.

YOU ARE ALLOWED
TO BE BOTH A MASTERPIECE AND A WORK IN PROGRESS
SIMULTANEOUSLY
If you want something you've never had,
you have to do something you've
never done.
Everything has
changed and yet,
I am more me
than I've
ever been.
Everything comes to
you In the right
moment.
Be Patient. Be Grateful.
Sometimes, all it
takes is one prayer to change everything.
We are given this life because we are strong enough
to live it.

See the Art of my Journey...
“Sometimes our journeys have been longer than realized. But, once you have recognized what is happening, you are able to look back with a wider and clearer lens. See the art of my journey - the path that God created to bring me to my designed life’s purpose.”
Katrina Fullmer, Artflectives, Ltd.

MY ART PROCESS
A mirror is my canvas. I enjoy finding mirrors of many sizes and varieties from those that free stand, hang on a wall, sit on a table, or a standing dressing mirror with a jewelry box inside. The frame usually dictates the type of art I will create within it so that in the end it all becomes one. I love to work with the right amount of paint within the brush stroke to evoke the most reflection at the utmost called for areas.
I use colored glass in my artwork. Every piece is handpicked and placed in a certain direction to create structure and flow - fitting just right like a jigsaw puzzle. My artwork will reflect, change colors, glow and illuminate within the boundaries of your home or business and the light it provides for the atmosphere. Direct sunlight works best, but an art light will work too.

LIVING ART
How does your art change?
As the light of day progresses you can see how the first pictures look with the sunlight shining on them from the windows. Some of my work will change color. The fourth piece is in the evening with a light on that is reflecting in the art piece. Most of my work will have this effect if displayed in the right area.

CLOUD ART

"THE TRAVELERS"
Do you see pictures of things within the clouds and other things? I do. All the time. The first picture is zoomed in on rainbow clouds. Do you see what I see?
What I saw became an inspiration for this piece.
I believe we are not the only ones in this vast universe which is so big that we haven't really begun to know much about it. Are we living amongst other realms? This picture to me expresses the "Travelers" moving about the skies.

COLLAGE ART

COLLAGE WORK -
This type of artwork has always been a favorite of mine since about the age of 12. I found these frames and I immediately thought of them as a hole in the trunk of a tree.
Liam, green eyes, is made from nuts, washers, watch parts and watch faces I obtained from a man in Spain (there is an Olympic watch face in the art). Lisette, blue eyes, is made from buttons (most from my own collection) and watch parts.

"Window to your... World or your Soul?"

This small art piece trio (8" convex mirrors) has elicited some exciting interpretations. That's the thing about art---when different people give their different explanations or their reasoning as to the existence of the intention behind the piece. These have been described as "another planet", or "looking through
the submarine windows", "fishbowls" with the large glass piece being the fish, or "windows to the world wherever and whenever that is for you", and lastly "reflection in hub caps as life is moving by and this is just one persons view at this very one moment in time".

WHAT I HAVE BEEN RECENTLY WORKING ON

A Journey of
Transformation

In the distant past, my internal systems went haywire, like a multi-car crash inside my body. For several years I addressed continual and multiple, new health issues as they came up. I also learned what it was like to live and deal with the fallouts of invisible disability. During this time, I turned to Jesus and prayer. I renewed my faith and became aware I was on my spiritual journey. I turned to my inner strength and made the best out of each and every day. I developed and grew in my belief, my faith, and my trust in God. I turned back to my art and my creativity. Each piece I worked on represented where I was in my journey, good or bad - but you wouldn't know it by looking at the art - for now it has become just that - art.

An Idea is Born
I come from a family blessed with artistic talent. It has always come naturally to me since childhood. Not just the ability to use a technique, but a natural ability to be a visionary and use my imagination and creativity to design my artwork. I always had in mind creating with mixed media on a mirrored canvas - I just needed to get started. During this period in my life, I became a bit of a movie buff and my most favorite was the movie, Thor. I was mesmerized by the Bifrost Rainbow Bridge and how the colors changed and sparkled. Thus, I started introducing different mediums into my artwork. I love color! Color is good! Color is uplifting! People need to see the color in us when we are interacting! Over the years, I feel as though I've walked across this very long, Rainbow Bridge; picking up along the way massive amounts of wisdom, strength, knowledge, courage, faith, understanding, empathy, gratitude and compassion.

Creation Comes from Within
Because of this long walk, my spiritual, visionary and artistic abilities have increased beyond where I could imagine. I've learned to work even harder at advocating and championing for people, from all walks, including myself. My level of patience in working with different personality types and people's backgrounds and creating and teaching people to become leaders for where they're at has increased tenfold. These are all my lessons, and I embrace all of them with an open mind and an open heart.
I'd Love to Create for you, Katrina
There are no wrong turnings. Only paths we had not known we were meant to walk...

Katrina is very empathetic and insightful to others going through adverse journeys. This is reflected in a myriad of ways in the unique type of art that she brings to that process.

Katrina puts so much thought into her artwork to make it very special for the buyer. From the media she uses to the mirror canvas she chooses, certainly makes her artwork very unique.
